I believe that God sends special angels onto our Earth journey. They tend to not be here quite as long as the normal length of life. I have a couple examples.
The first is a woman who called herself Nightbirde. America discovered her on the show America's Got Talent in 2021. She shared her journey around cancer with the audience. She said, "It's important that everyone knows I'm so much more than the bad things that happen to me. You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy." She sang an original song named "It's OK" which became number 1 on the charts. Before she could continue competing, her cancer worsened and she withdrew and passed away in February of 2022. In her short period of living, she reached out and taught us another way to look at the process of life.
Another angel was a young woman named Claire Wineland. She lived and died with cystic fibrosis with an approach to life filled with exuberance and enthusiasm. In a short period of time, much of the world fell in love with her.
She died at the age of 21 after receiving a double lung transplant. But at the age of 10 she had been given five years to live. She became an incredible motivational speaker who educated and lived her life in her own way. She said, "My purpose is to help people be more comfortable with their pain and realize they have power and a lot to give regardless of the life they are living."
She also said, "When we are in the midst of huge suffering, we have the notion that we should stop living and just focus on how to get over it. The truth is this is our journey to share and live in our unique way and share our journey with others." There is a beautiful documentary called "Claire's Journey" which gives us all the chance to know her and realize she is doing this differently.
In the end, we realize it is as Carolyn Myss states in her book "Woundology". It is so easy to define who we are by what we are going through. It is the ability to step back and realize our Divine side is right in the midst of the physical journey. Claire wanted to make sure we knew that even though we may be sick or severely challenged, we can still be thriving.
Every day we participate and come in contact with 'angels' who speak a Divine truth. We don't know when or where we will meet them. But when we do we hear their words and step into a deeper place.
Your tomorrows are filled with angels you have not met yet. Be open to this future and let the words and actions of others be a part of your growth of spirit. Who is your next angel?
